چکیده

The continuous input, slow decomposition, and retention of straw can impede tillage crop growth, the decomposition process in soil is affected by its composition method application. Experimental Station Jilin Agricultural University, Changchun City, Province. type was Argiudolls, experimental field area 30 m2, maize planted continuously for 12 years without returning to field. There were four treatments: (1) control (CK), 10 g placed on surface a nylon mesh bag, bag separated from polyethylene film contacting with soil; (2) mulching (CM), surface; (3) burying (CD), buried at depth 40 cm (4) (CE), depth. Fifteen micro-zones set up micro-zone 1 m2 each consisted treatments randomly grouped three replicates per treatment. on-site trial started 20 April 2021 ended 15 2022. Nylon samples collected days 0, 30, 90, 180, 270, 360. SOC, TN, component water droplet-soil contact angle determined. Our results showed that CE treatment increased organic carbon (SOC) total nitrogen (TN) content compared CM CD treatments. Compared CK, rates 13.3%, 30.8%, 22.3% CM, CD, treatments, respectively. Lignin 7.8%, 27.3%, 16.2%; cellulose 14.6%, 35.4%, 27.3%; hemicellulose 17.2%, 31.7% 23.7% treatment, droplets statistically significantly 91.5% when remained 5 s. rate decrease droplet time decreased 11.8%, penetration slower. Overall, promoted SWR which are important attributes enhance quality improve structural stability.

Behaviour of 3-week weaned pigs in Straw-Flow(R), deep straw and flatdeck housing systems.

The behaviour of 3-week weaned pigs in different housing systems was examined as part of an assessment of the suitability of the Straw-Flow(R) system for pigs of this age. Three replicate pens of 20 pigs were weaned at 6.4 kg liveweight into each of: (a) deep-straw; (b) Straw-Flow(R); (c) large flatdeck; (d) small flatdeck. A kenneled lying area was provided in (a) and (b). The floor in (c) and...

Effects of Deep Tillage and Straw Returning on Soil Microorganism and Enzyme Activities

Two field experiments were conducted for two years with the aim of studying the effects of deep tillage and straw returning on soil microorganism and enzyme activity in clay and loam soil. Three treatments, (1) conventional tillage (CT), shallow tillage and straw returning; (2) deep tillage (DT), deep tillage and straw returning; and (3) deep tillage with no straw returning (DNT), were carried ...

Ascomycota Members Dominate Fungal Communities during Straw Residue Decomposition in Arable Soil

This study investigated the development of fungal community composition in arable soil during the degradation of straw residue. We explored the short-term responses of the fungal community over 28 days of decomposition in soil using culture-independent polymerase chain reaction in combination with a clone library and denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE). Fungal cellobiohydrolase I (cb...

Effects of straw mulch on soil water and winter wheat production in dryland farming

The soil water supply is the main factor that limits dryland crop production in China. In a three-year field experiment at a dryland farming experimental station, we evaluated the effects of various straw mulch practices on soil water storage, grain yield, and water use efficiency (WUE) of winter wheat (Triticum aestivum). Field experiments were conducted with six different mulch combinations (...

Soil Salt Distribution and Tomato Response to Saline Water Irrigation under Straw Mulching

To investigate better saline water irrigation scheme for tomatoes that scheduling with the compromise among yield (Yt), quality, irrigation water use efficiency (IWUE) and soil salt residual, an experiment with three irrigation quotas and three salinities of irrigation water was conducted under straw mulching in northern China. The irrigation quota levels were 280 mm (W1), 320 mm (W2) and 360 m...
